I was a little nervous about ordering my wedding dress from Azazie, for a number of reasons: my wedding was just over a month away, and I'd never heard of the online retailer before. That being said, our budget for my dress was fairly tight and I much preferred the Alba ballgown to other low-cost alternatives on David's Bridal, and Azazie's reviews were glowing (albeit most of these are in response to their prolific collection of bridesmaid dresses), so I took the leap.
At first when I received the dress, I was taken aback by how HUGE the hoop was-- I literally couldn't fit through double doors with my dress on! Upon closer inspection, however, I saw that the pannier included with the dress was adjustable, so that the hoop could indeed be reduced to a size more like that featured in the picture. Although the pannier itself wasn't of the best design and construction--I kept pricking my fingers while trying to adjust the rings--I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the dress. Even more surprisingly, the custom sizing of my dress was spot-on with my actual measurements. Yes, as the above reviewer noted, the bodice of the dress is translucent (though this is less noticeable on a very pale person like myself and is further softened by the appliqué flower detail). While perhaps this not for everyone, I think this dress is nothing short of lovely and is well worth giving a chance!
