I ordered custom sizing to cut down on the amount of altering I'd have to do; a friend of mine is a seamstress and took my measurements for me. Fortunately it looks like I won't have to alter anything! It fits to size and is comfortable. The fabric is actually nicer than I anticipated in that it's quite soft and flows nicely. The colour is consistent throughout and there were no rips or pulls in the dress. Packaging was well done and didn't smell odd, which was a bonus.
Some small things about this dress I didn't realize until I received it: the "cap" sleeves are entirely lace, so there is no fabric under it. I thought the "cap" of the sleeve would be a little more substantial, but that is not the case. The clasp at the top of the zipper on the back was sewn into the seam in such a way that once it's undone it's nearly impossible to reclasp even when you're not wearing the dress. This might have just been the case with my dress. There are some loose ends of thread in odd places that I'll have to clean up (such as in the middle on the front of the bust) which won't be difficult to deal with, but something to think about. Also, I thought I'd be able to wear a regular bra under this dress, however the back is much lower than I thought and I will need to buy a backless bra.
A heads up if you're buying dresses from this site and you're shipping to Canada - I had to pay $80 in duties at the door when the package arrived. Azazie says they are not responsible for the amount you're charged, so be prepared. Another bridesmaid I know paid $63 in duties, so take that as a tentative benchmark to add to your projected dress budget. The tracking on this package was also unhelpful as every time it moved the update just read "arrived at Canadian Facility" with no indication of city or further location. It was a pleasant surprise when it showed up at my place.
Overall a nice dress which arrived within the projected timeline. I don't know if I will buy online again, however it was certainly an experience.
