Why They Chose Sangria For Their Wedding

Inspired by the beautiful hue of Sangria wine, Sangria is a purplish red color that is sometimes also called burnt red. This deep hue is both intriguing and mysterious, which is ideal for formal indoor weddings. An on-trend color that is among Pantone's top 10 fall colors, Sangria is a glamorous choice when paired with metallic and ivory accents.

I knew from the start that I wanted a wine color to be the main shade for my wedding palette. I just think that's it's such a sophisticated color, and perfect for the fall wedding that we were planning. I couldn't find the exact color that I was looking for. One of my bridesmaids found Sangria bridesmaid dresses on Azazie and I just knew it was the one!

- Belicia

My husband and I agreed thought that it would be really cute for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen to wear matching colors. It came down to finding a gender neutral color that was sophisticated and flattering. Sangria stood out because while it's a deep red, it still looked really nice for the groomsmen vests.

- Jane

For the bridesmaid dresses, I wanted to go with something that's safe but also interesting. I wanted my wedding look and photos to stand the test of time. When I was browsing through some family albums, I saw that my grandmother's bridesmaids actually wore Sangria dresses. It looked so regal and I instantly fell in love.

- Suzanne

I wanted my bridesmaids to look exotic and glamorous. I got the inspiration for the Sangria bridesmaid dresses after flipping through some fashion magazines. Sangria was everywhere. We paired the floor-length gowns with white gloves and statement rustic gold jewelry. The girls definitely looked red-carpet ready!
