Why They Chose Espresso For Their Wedding

Espresso is inspired by the dark aromatic soulfulness of coffee and is perfect for brides who are looking for an alternative to black. Deep and mysterious, Espresso has the starkness of black while retaining a sense of subtlety. An on-trend color, Espresso is a flattering color for all bridesmaids.

READ WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING

We had a black tie wedding so everything was very formal and proper. But I also didn't want everyone to just show up in black and I especially didn't want my bridesmaids to wear black. In the end, I chose Espresso because it felt like it was a good compromise where they looked very classy but it was also an interesting shade as well.

- Sasha

My husband and I bonded over our love for coffee when we first started dating. We would always go around New York City, where we lived, and try out new coffee places. Espresso reminded of this sweet memory. It also just so happened that Espresso is a great color. My bridesmaids liked how it was slimming.

- Eliza

My bridesmaids expressed to me from the beginning that they wanted a slimming color for the dresses. So the choices really came down to black, navy, or another really dark shade. I suggested Espresso and they loved it. It's dark enough that it was very slimming but also a bit different from the rest.

- Michele

For our wedding, we had a bunch of really beautifully bright flowers that were magenta, yellow, and different shades of purple. That's why I wanted to find a bridesmaid dress color that was more muted, so it wouldn't feel like too much. I chose Espresso because it was just that and contrasted so nicely with the flowers.
