Why They Chose Cerulean For Their Wedding

Nominated by Pantone as color of the millennium in 1999, Cerulean is a color that resides between blue and cyan, and is commonly also known as azure or sky blue. A dimmer shade of blue, Cerulean is a classic in every sense of the word. Flattering on all skin tones, Cerulean is a can't-go-wrong choice for your bridesmaids.

READ WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING

I've always been more of a traditional girl with unique interests, so I wanted my wedding palette to be reminiscent of a classic painting. Cerulean was a pigment that was frequently used in classic paintings and I thought that I'd be a great choice for the bridesmaid dresses. We accessorized their looks with oversized gold earrings with red rhinestones.

- Coleen

For the bridesmaid dresses, I just wanted a simple true blue to match the blue sash on my wedding dress. After browsing through countless shades of blue, Cerulean was the one that stood out as being just that. It matched my sash perfectly and the girls looked great in it.

- Janet

I remember reading somewhere that Pantone considered Cerulean to be the color of the millennium. I mean, you really can't go wrong with that. You can easily see why, as it's just a classic and flattering color. My bridesmaids had no objections either. We found these great matching statement necklaces to go with them.

- Lorna

Cerulean has been a really on-trend color in the past couple of years. Everyone should remember that scene in The Devil Wears Prada, where Cerulean is mentioned. I've always thought that it was a gorgeous color and it was one of my top picks for the bridesmaid dress colors for my wedding. The girls had the final say but I definitely approved.
