Selecting your bridesmaids is an amazing experience for any bride. Whether you want to keep the bridal party small with just siblings and your BFF or you want to go all out with a big group of girlfriends, choosing your bridesmaids is fun!
One of the most important things to consider when you’re on the hunt for the perfect bridesmaid dresses is the fit. But, this question becomes much more complicated when you have a maid who’s pregnant. Maternity sizing is a bit different, so here are some helpful tips to keep in mind when you’re shopping for a maternity dress.
1. Check out maternity options!
We have a line of maternity styles that are made just for maids who are expecting. Check out these chic styles to make sure that your maid is comfortable and stylish for the big day.

2. Adding extra inches
Our general rule is to add 1 inch to your maid’s waist measurement every 4 weeks. Make sure to do the math before ordering to get as close as possible to her future measurements. Your bridesmaid can also add a couple of inches to her bust if she feels like that is going to help her get a better fit, but we generally say to keep that measurement the same.

3. Wait to order
Since maternity sizing is more complicated than normal sizing, we recommend ordering maternity dresses no sooner than 10 weeks before the big day. This will give your maid a better understanding of how much she’s growing to get the most accurate fit.
