Why They Chose Yellow For Their Wedding
Zesty and fun, yellow bridesmaid dresses are the epitome of vibrancy and energy. Perfect for outdoor weddings, bright yellow brings to mind the perfection of lemonade in the summer. Deeper golden yellow is ideal for fall weddings, complimenting the gorgeous foliage and crisp open skies. For a fun rustic fête, pair twirl-worthy yellow bridesmaid dresses with a baby's breath bouquet and cowgirl boots.

When I was planning my wedding and browsing through all the blogs and bridal magazines, I noticed that bright yellow is actually an uncommon bridesmaid dress color. I wanted to set my wedding apart from the rest and yellow was also really appropriate for our summer wedding. The girls stood out in the best way possible!
Yellow reminds me of sunshine, which is what I wanted my wedding day to be filled with. We chose this taffeta style for the bridesmaids and they carried blue bouquets. It was an unexpected choice, but I thought they looked great for our nautical theme wedding. Yellow can be a hard color to pull off but luckily all my bridesmaids really liked it.
My husband and I's favorite song is Coldplay's Yellow. We bonded over a shared fondness for the band and that song is by far the most romantic one in my opinion. Obviously, it inspired me to consider yellow bridesmaid dresses for the wedding, which served as such a lovely reminder of our love. We chose a paler yellow, daffodil, because it flattered all the girls.
We got married in November so our wedding palette was full of fall colors. I wanted the bridesmaids to wear a bright color from the bunch, so they went with different shades of yellow, which I thought looked great. It was nice because the girls who wanted a more toned down choice could go with a pale yellow.
My favorite flowers are marigolds, so I knew that I wanted to incorporate some yellow into the wedding. That's when I found this gorgeous dress on Azazie with a lace bodice and chiffon skirt, which we customized to be yellow. I thought it was just perfect for our garden wedding because the lace definitely added a touch of romance and helped the girls not look too over-the-top.
