Why They Chose Steel Grey For Their Wedding

A mysterious and captivating color that's perfect for modern weddings and edgy bridal parties, Steel Gray is a deep gray shade that's been especially on-trend in the past few seasons. Steel Gray brings a muted sophistication to your bridesmaid dresses and is especially ideal for black tie weddings. Lovely in any style, is a flattering choice that will never go out of style.

I've never been a traditional girl, so I knew from the start that I wouldn't be going with colors like pink or lavender for the bridesmaid dresses. For me, monochrome was the way to go. But I still wanted my girls to wear a light color to give them a weightless feel, so we ended up going with Steel Gray.

- Clarissa

The colors for the wedding décor were very bright and fun, so we thought that it would be cool to have the bridesmaids wear a more muted color. I didn't like the idea of them wearing black or white, so we went with Steel Gray, which was a good compromise.

- Leona

I didn't consider having Steel Gray dresses for the bridesmaids until I saw it on a wedding blog. I instantly fell in love with how sophisticated it was. To contrast from the more neutral color of the dresses, we chose really feminine styles for the girls to wear. They had very poufy skirts and a more figure-hugging silhouette. They looked amazing!

- Trudy

We originally wanted the bridesmaids to wear silver dresses because I personally loved silver and thought that it would be a flattering choice. But after ordering some fabric swatches and seeing the colors in person, my bridesmaids and I decided that Steel Gray was actually even more flattering than silver, so that's what we went with.
