Why They Chose Black For Their Wedding
We all love that perfect LBD, but let's not forget the little black bridesmaid dresses! The ultimate mark of sophistication, black is ideal for a chic and modern affair and cocktail-style receptions. Striking in any style, black is a great choice for style-savvy bridesmaids. Complete the look with statement accessories and glitter pumps.

A lot of people think black is a depressing color, but I love how sophisticated it looks. It looks great on any bridesmaid and I've never been a fan of the traditional bridesmaid look anyways. We chose these floor-length satin gowns on Azazie and paired it with a dangling earrings and a choker-style necklace. With their up-dos, the girls looked very Audrey Hepburn!

For me, black is a great choice for any bridal party because the girls can accessorize the looks however they want. I asked my girls to pick out sashes in any color they want and they all picked different ones to reflect their personalities. The satin sashes went so well with the black maxi dresses and we even matched them to their bouquets.

I had the style of the bridesmaid dresses in mind. I wanted them to wear a long and classic strapless dress with some embellishment on the bodice. After sifting through a few colors, black just looked the best for the timeless look I was going for. The best part is that the bridesmaids were so relieved to be wearing the most flattering color out there. I really couldn't be happier with my choice.

I let my girls decide which color they wanted to wear and after much debate, they settled on black, which was just perfect for our Brooklyn brownstone wedding. I guess it was hard for them to decide on a color that everyone was happy with, so black was a good compromise. As long as they're happy, I'm happy because they're some of the most important people in my life.

I think the black and gold combination is just so glamorous, so I knew that my bridesmaids had to sport that look for my black-tie wedding. We picked out these dramatic ruffled black dresses from Azazie and paired them with different statement gold necklaces. They looked so chic and all the guests were complimenting the look.
