Why They Chose Persian Plum For Their Wedding

Inspired by the lushness of your favorite fruit, Persian Plum is a vibrant purple color that's also know as prune. An especially lovely color for the spring weddings, Persian Plum evokes a feeling a freshness, energy, and vitality. Try pairing Persian Plum with other vibrant shades like turquoise and golden rod for a truly unique wedding palette.

We got married in June this year, so I really wanted to have vibrant colors for the wedding. But a lot of really bright colors like yellow or orange are not always flattering for everyone, and my bridesmaids all had very different looks. Persian Plum turned out to be a great choice because it has the vibrancy I wanted while being flattering on all the girls.

I didn't really consider a color like Persian Plum for my bridesmaids until I came across it while browsing through wedding magazines. In the spread, the bridesmaids were wearing these short sleeveless Persian Plum dresses with a ruffle bodice and they carried baby's breath bouquets. I loved it so much that I asked created the same look for my bridesmaids!

- Kathy

I really wanted my April wedding to epitomize spring, but I also didn't want it to have all the typical spring colors like lavender or pink. I was looking through some wedding blogs and really liked how one of the weddings combined white, lime green, and Persian Plum. My bridesmaids wore the Persian Plum dresses and carried an all-leaves bouquet with some white accents. The result was so lovely!

- Monica

The main reason as to why I chose Persian Plum for the bridesmaid dresses was simply because I love plums. My mom used to make these amazing plum pies because she knew how much I loved the fruit. My bridesmaids thought it was such a cute idea for them to wear Persian Plum dresses.
