Why They Chose Apricot For Their Wedding

Apricot is a dusty pinkish hue that symbolizes the beginning of summer. Even though it's a color that's ever popular in spring and summer, many brides are now complementing it with dark rich tones for fall and winter.

Our wedding colors were burgundy and apricot which is why I chose apricot colored bridesmaids dresses. As they walked down the aisle before me they held burgundy bouquets while I held apricot bouquets. It was beautiful color combo and all our pictures of the ceremony came out looking amazing.

- Gaby

My husband now jokes that he chose apricot because it suited my personality: sweet and charming. Regardless, it was a soft color that went beautifully with my ivory princess wedding gown. We decided to complement the apricot colored dresses with silver which looked very elegant. We were both happy with this shade of pink.

- Aleyda

I wanted to use two different tones of pink for my bridesmaid dresses and one of them was apricot. It was the best tone I could find that looked wonderful next to fuchsia

- the other shade of pink. My two bridesmaids wearing apricot were happy at how it gave their skin a nice glowing look.

-Erika

- For my spring themed wedding I wanted to use pastel colors which is why I chose apricot dresses for my bridesmaids. Apricot went perfectly well with lavender and lilac my other wedding colors. They all looked like flowers blooming in our garden venue with the bright green grass and trees as a backdrop.
